Week-by-Week Changes
Florida (Nov. 4)
- No changes were made to the offensive depth chart.
- There is still an “or” between Chamblee and Manuel at left tackle, but Chamblee has started every game except one. However, he missed the second half of the Mississippi State game with an injury. Pittman said he should be fine, though, and they’ll battle it out for the starting job this week.
Mississippi State (Oct. 21)
- For the first time this season, there is an “or” at running back. It is between Dubinion and Green as the backup behind Sanders. However, it’s worth noting that Sanders has been listed first all season despite missing four games and Dubinion has received the bulk of the reps lately.
- There was also a shuffle at wide receiver. There is now an “or” between Broden and Wilson for the third starting wide receiver spot. However, Broden had been getting starter reps the last several games despite being listed as a backup. As a result, Dozier is listed as a backup behind Armstrong and Sategna/Stephens are listed behind TeSlaa.
- There is still an “or” between Chamblee and Manuel at left tackle, but Chamblee has started six of seven games this year, including last week at Alabama.
Alabama (Oct. 14)
- Once again, the only change is at tight end. Washington and Sherman are listed as the starter and backup, respectively, after winning those jobs in the open competition at practice last week. Bax and Gumms are listed third and with an “or” between them.
- There is still an “or” at left tackle. Manuel started against Texas A&M, but Chamblee was back in the lineup against Ole Miss after starting the first four.
- The Razorbacks shuffled their starting offensive line against Ole Miss, as well, with Limmer moving to left guard, Latham moving to right tackle and Kutas moving to center. They reverted to the original combination in the second half, though.
Ole Miss (Oct. 7)
- The only change is at tight end, where Luke Hasz is out for the year with a broken clavicle. He had been listed as the starter with Sherman as the backup. However, there is now an “or” between all four remaining tight ends.
- There is still an “or” at left tackle, but Manuel started against Texas A&M.
- As he mentioned in his Monday press conference, Sam Pittman is considering shuffling his offensive line this week.
Texas A&M (Sept. 30)
- No changes were made to the offensive depth chart.
- Sanders is still listed as the starting running back, but he’s also been listed No. 1 the last three weeks when he’s been out with a knee injury.
- There is still an “or” between Chamblee and Manuel at left tackle, but Chamblee has started all four games this year. However, against LSU, Manuel played way more snaps than Chamblee.
- Despite being listed as a starter, Wilson came off the bench against LSU. The third starting wide receiver was actually Broden.
LSU (Sept. 23)
- No changes were made to the offensive depth chart.
- It’s worth noting that Sanders has continued to be listed as the starter despite missing the last two games, so him being listed first team means absolutely nothing regarding his status vs. LSU.
- There is still an “or” between Chamblee and Manuel at left tackle, but Chamblee has started all three games this year. Plus, Manuel is dealing with an injury.
BYU (Sept. 16)
- The only change to the offensive depth chart is that there is no “or” between Wilson and Sategna. Wilson is now listed as the sole starter, which makes sense because he’s started both of the first two games.
- Despite Chamblee starting both of the first two games, there is still an “or” between him and Manuel at left tackle. They have been rotating at that spot.
- Sanders is still listed as the starting running back, but Pittman has already declared him out for this week. Expect Green to start in his place again.
- There is no “or” at right guard, but Braun and Crawford rotated some during the Kent State game.
Kent State (Sept. 9)
- No changes were made to the Arkansas football offensive depth chart.
- However, Wilson and Chamblee to the start at the two “or” positions against Western Carolina. Wilson will likely remain the starter, but left tackle could be in flux, as Chamblee got the nod largely because he stayed healthy throughout fall camp.
Western Carolina (Sept. 2)
- There are two “or” listings on the first unit and both of them are because of injuries to previously presumed starters (Wilson at wide receiver and Manuel at left tackle).
- The only other “or” listings are at tight end, where Hasz is the starter and Sherman is the backup. There are three options listed on the third team – Bax, Gumms and Washington.
- Interestingly, there is no “or” at running back as we predicted. Instead, Green is the backup to Sanders, with Dubinion and Johnson listed third and fourth, respectively.

Week-by-Week Changes
Florida (Nov. 4)
- No changes were made to the defensive depth chart.
- It’s worth noting that Rose has started the last two games at defensive tackle instead of Ball. However, Ball did come off the bench against Mississippi State after missing the previous week with an injury.
Mississippi State (Oct. 21)
- The secondary has been shuffled to reflect how Arkansas has played the last two games while dealing with injuries. Lorando Johnson and Jaylon Braxton are now listed as a starting cornerbacks, despite the latter missing the Alabama game because of injury. Hudson Clark is now listed as the starting nickel after previously being listed as a backup safety – despite being a starter for several weeks. Dwight McGlothern is listed as a second-teamer after missing the last two games because of a concussion.
- It’s also worth noting that Ball and Paul are listed as starters despite missing the last game with injuries.
- There is an “or” between Grier and Spence as Paul’s backup, but Grier got the starting nod in his absence.
- Rose is listed as a third-team tackle, but got the start over Carter in Ball’s absence.
Alabama (Oct. 14)
- The only change is at defensive tackle, where Ball is now listed as a starter alongside Gregory after starting the last two games. That bumped Carter to the second unit and Rose to third team. It also meant Booker is now second behind Gregory.
- It’s also worth noting that McGlothern missed the Ole Miss game with a concussion despite being listed as a starter. With him out, Lorando Johnson moved to cornerback and Hudson Clark moved to nickel.
- Braxton has started the last two games despite being listed as Singletary’s backup.
Ole Miss (Oct. 7)
- No changes were made to the defensive depth chart.
- However, it’s worth noting that Braxton got the nod over Singletary at the second cornerback spot vs. Texas A&M. With McGlothern dealing with a concussion, they may both start against Ole Miss.
- Ball is still listed as a backup despite starting the previous week against Texas A&M.
Texas A&M (Sept. 30)
- No changes were made to the defensive depth chart.
- Walcott is still listed as a starting safety, but Clark started in his place against LSU.
- Singletary and Braxton ended up splitting reps at cornerback against LSU.
LSU (Sept. 23)
- No changes were made to the defensive depth chart.
- Chavis has been listed as a backup safety all season despite being out with a hand/wrist injury.
- Lorando Johnson and Jaylon Braxton started at cornerback vs. BYU.
BYU (Sept. 16)
- The most notable change on defense is at linebacker, where Paul and Thomas are now listed as the two starters. There had been an “or” between them at one spot and Crook listed as the starter at the other spot. However, Spence started against Kent State with Paul serving a first-half suspension for targeting. Grier is also listed on the depth chart for the first time after missing the opener.
- There is no “or” between Johnson and Clark at safety. Johnson, who started each of the first two games, is listed as the sole starter. Clark is his backup and, even though it’s not reflected on the depth chart, the backup at nickel, as well.
- At cornerback, Stewart and Braxton are listed as the sole backups with Bishop as the third guy behind both of them. There had been an “or” at the backup cornerback spots involving Stewart, Braxton and Bishop.
Kent State (Sept. 9)
- No changes were made to the defensive depth chart.
- There is still an “or” between Paul and Thomas at linebacker, but Thomas got the start against Western Carolina and will start again this week because Paul is serving a first-half suspension for targeting.
- As expected, Johnson got the start at the second safety spot, but Clark still played a lot – at both safety and nickel – vs. Western Carolina and Pittman said he is essentially a starter even if he isn’t out there for the first snap.
Western Carolina (Sept. 2)
- There are two starting spots with an “or” — Paul and Thomas at linebacker is because of Paul’s health, while Clark and Johnson at safety appears to be a true battle. Johnson has been getting most of the first-team reps in portions of practice open to the media.
- The other “or” listings are at cornerback, where there are essentially three players – Bishop, Braxton and Stewart – vying for two backup spots.

Kent State (Sept. 9)
